What the fork?

Until recently, this website was my attempt at smashing together all of my interests and projects – fictional, musical, technical, and personal. It was also where I blogged about pretty much everything.

What happened?

I have rebranded and rebooted the site. jaybenfield.com is now Spooning The Muse (spooningthemuse.com) and is dedicated to my fiction writing projects.

I have also pulled down all of my blog content. Candidly, this hurt a little, but it was time. The links to all of that bloggery now redirects here. In fact, you may have been automagically transported here after clicking a link to one of my posts on The Google Machine. Sorry about that. I figured this would be better than receiving an error page.

Why the change?

I decided that my “everything” approach to this website and blog was ineffective at best. The sum of the parts, the all things Jay under one hypertext umbrella setup, resulted in the dilution of the individual parts. It was also a lot of work. 2025 is a big year for me and I really need to dedicate my writing energy to my fantasy projects.
